TROOP 72 FAMILY FUN DAY AND PICNIC

August 15, 2026

Carney Island Park, Lake Weir Pavilion # 5

Bring the whole family and enjoy fun, food and fellowship with Troop 72.  We will meet at Carney Island County Park on the NW side of Lake Weir from approximately 10 AM to 5 PM.  Swimming, horseshoes and maybe some tug-o-war games are the order for the day.  We will eat about 12:30 PM.

The Troop will furnish hot dogs, hamburgers, all the trimmings, chips, drinks and tableware.  We ask each Scout family to bring one dish of, either beans, salad, slaw, or desert. Please RSVP Joe Kays at kays.joe@gmail.com so we know how much food to get.

SUMMER COURT OF HONOR

August 17th, 7 PM

First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall

Join us to celebrate the advancements our scouts have achieved over the summer, including in North Carolina and at Camp LaNoChe. This is our opportunity to recognize that hard work.

At this meeting we will also review our planned fall activities.  Our adult leaders will be available to answer your questions.
